Fundraising Policy

Westmoreland Land Trust strives to maintain and build upon the momentum of our success by securing a diversified funding base comprised of corporate partnerships, individual donations, foundation and government grants, consulting fees and honoraria.

Westmoreland Land Trust has applied for a non-profit 501(c)(3) determination from the IRS and contributions will be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law once this favorable designation is achieved.

Funds contributed to Westmoreland Land Trust are used for the announced purposes of the organization.

Publicity and promotional activities are truthful and non-deceptive.

Personal information provided to Westmoreland Land Trust is kept confidential and will not be sold, rented, or given to anyone without consent.

The Westmoreland Land Trust will comply with its current Policy on Acknowledgment of Donations. In addition, donors may receive recognition (unless otherwise requested) in public relations materials. For small donations, this may be collective recognition.

By donation to Westmoreland Land Trust, contributors become an important supporter of the mission and vision of the Trust.
