The staff of the Westmoreland Land Trust invites all interested volunteers to join them for a morning of environmental restoration work at Twin Lakes Meadow, along with a nature journaling session. Please wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
Join us for World Migratory Bird Day at St. Xavier Nature Preserve. The century-old trees of the Grove are a good place to see many of our native birds as well as the occasional spring migrant. This guided walk will be slow-paced and level, and birders of all abilities are welcome to join us. Please bring your own binoculars and dress for the weather.
Join WLT’s AmeriCorps Service Member Monica Rebar for a morning walk through St. Xavier Nature Preserve in Latrobe. This historic site contains several examples of wild plants that can be safely foraged for food. This guided walk will be slow-paced, but will involve some gentle slopes and uneven walkways. Please wear good walking shoes and sunscreen.
