Introducing the Westmoreland Land Trust’s Family Fun Day! Join us for some family fun while exploring nature with lawn games, a scavenger hunt for kids, and crafts for all ages! You can also explore the area with a family-friendly self-guided hike! This event will be on Sunday, April 13th, from 1-3pm at the St. Xavier Nature Preserve on 106 Saint Xavier’s Rd, Latrobe, PA 15650. It will be a fun experience for the whole family! We will have a table set up at the Twin Lakes Meadow to stamp Passports for everyone participating in this year’s garden tour.
We will also be launching this summer’s new Story Walk feature for families with children. Come meet Rebecca Hirsch, the author of “Plants Can’t Sit Still”, from 10 AM to Noon at the Meadow (if rain, at the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library) and read her book by walking through the meadow.
