Come for this Sunday’s Walk in Penn’s Woods at the Ackermann Nature Preserve, organized by the Westmoreland Woodlands Improvement Association! This is part of a statewide initiative encouraging people to enjoy an event or activity in Pennsylvania’s beautiful forests this Sunday. Please join us to enjoy and explore this beautiful nature preserve in North Huntingdon Township!
In our first 10 years, supporters have helped acquire 274 acres in seven Westmoreland County communities; have helped enlarge parks; and have helped conserve exceptional natural areas. Together we can accomplish even more to build a future where throughout Westmoreland County open space and recreational lands abound, water resources are protected, and wildlife flourishes.
Join our effort by donating online via Give Big Pittsburgh on Tuesday November 27, or mail a contribution to the Westmoreland Land Trust, 218 Donohoe Road, Greensburg PA 15601. Please contact us if you would like to make a gift of securities or a bequest. A possibility for those receiving required minimum distributions from IRA accounts is making a tax-free donation directly from your IRA account. The Westmoreland Land Trust is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and donations to it are tax deductible (EIN #77-0710733).
Donations may also be made throughout the year!
