St. Xavier Clean Up Day / AmeriCorps MLK Day of Service @ St. Xavier Nature Preserve
Jan 13 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your possible interest in volunteering at the Saint Xavier Nature Preserve!  An opportunity is coming up soon, for our AmeriCorps members Dominic Demangone and Sarah Poklembo are organizing a St. Xavier Clean Up Day in honor of Martin Luther King (MLK) day.

The St. Xavier Clean Up Day will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10am–12pm.  In case of heavy precipitation or thunderstorms, the rain/snow date will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1pm–3pm.

The St. Xavier Nature Preserve is a beautiful 248-acre park with a rich history as home to St. Xavier Academy and Convent from 1843–1972.  Since then, the property’s paved roadways and paths have become overgrown with vegetation and debris.  The St. Xavier Clean Up Day will include clearing debris, dirt, moss and other vegetation from the roadways and paths.  All ages are welcome, and hot chocolate and snacks will be provided.

Please save the date!  More details will be provided via email and on the Westmoreland Land Trust website and Facebook page after the holidays.  Any postponement or cancellation for weather will be announced on the Westmoreland Land Trust website or Facebook page by 7 am that morning.

Thank you for your interest in the Westmoreland Land Trust and St. Xavier!
